Data Centre Services
Senate’s data centres are among the most secure and flexible in the world. Managed services are highly automated and standardized. The technology is leading edge, with no expensive-to-run legacy systems, and is designed to accommodate both the current and future requirements of our clients.
We take responsibility for the continuous management of infrastructure from basic data centre provision to real-time offsite storage, dual centre service delivery and scalable on-demand services.
All centres are resilient and provide 24/7 service, full disaster recovery and business continuity. They are secure to the highest relevant standards.
Security
Security measures include biometric access control, continuous CCTV monitoring and strict procedures for the disposal of waste, using shredders and secure waste containers, and de-gaussing electronic media.
All network applications have password protected user names and log-ons, and password change rules every 30 days. There are dedicated communications for each specific customer and there is no co-mingling of customer data. Data is encrypted and encapsulated and we ensure end-to-end transmission integrity.
Systems comply with relevant international standards and local country requirements for data protection and system usage. Data Centres are certified to ISO/IEC 17799. Client specific and industry specific security compliance is also provided as required.
Disaster recovery and data replication
Disaster recovery and business continuity measures include duplication of machinery across multiple locations. The overall recovery plan is kept up to date. There is a mock exercise every quarter and there are also project specific contingency plans with well defined roles and responsibilities.
